Finally, I'm getting around to updating this page. I'm learning that Microsoft FrontPage is a pain! Well, I thought we supposed to get weights for the babies on Friday, but the nurse never showed up. Come to think of it, she hasn't shown up for a while, if I was paying her anything, I would fire her!
I can't tell you what their weights are exactly, but they are getting bigger. Cooper will not fit into 0-3 month baby clothes anymore, and the other three are close. We already switched them all to 3-6 month clothes. Cooper is also just about too big for the size 1 diapers, we'll need to go to size 2 pretty soon.
Derek's hernia isn't getting any worse, so we're leaving it alone. I check it every day, but so far, no change. I'm hoping we can delay surgery indefinitely.
Ben may need a little help getting his neck straightened out. He hates turning his head to the left. I think it's very uncomfortable for him. We're working on it, but it will take a while.

The babies all got their booster shots today. That's good, it'll help keep 'em healthy! Unfortunately, it will also make them cranky tonight. Got weights too:
Cooper:10 lb 8 oz Derek: 9 lb 6 oz Ben: 8 lb 14 oz Zach: 9 lb 3 oz
See! We do feed them!
April 16th, 2004
More shots this week, last time it was the RSV booster, this time was the normal baby boosters.... Two shots in each leg for each baby. We had some cranky babies for a few days, but I think we've made it through the storm...
New weights!! Cooper: 11 lb 1 oz, Derek: 9 lb 12 oz, Zach: 10 lb 0 oz, Ben: 9 lb 9 oz.
That's a good growth rate for three weeks! Our doctor (Dr. Kautz, he's great) is pretty happy with their progress.
That's all for now, we're doing fine and plowing through. Maybe I'll get some new pictures up tomorrow...

Not much to update. Zach had an ear infection this week. Doctor Kautz gave him some antibiotics, and he's feeling much better. But he sure was cranky for a few days. Everyone is still eating and growing. It seems like it's getting easier, but I'm not sure if it's easier, or we're just used to it now. We have actually been eating dinner at the table!!! The nights are easier too. The babies still only go about four hours at a time, and we still take turns staying up with them. But I think we've got a system down now, and it's not too troublesome.

Another month goes by.... The babies are all healthy and growing. We'll have their 6 month checkup next month, so I'll have weights and other information then. I put up some new pictures on the picture page, be sure to check them out! April had a hysterectomy this week. Don't worry, it was a planned event. The surgeon was able to do the procedure Lacroscopically, so April's recovery time has been short. The operation was Tuesday, April stayed one night at the hospital, and as of today she's up and around and carrying babies. I took this week off from work to help, but I plan on working next week. That's all for now...

The quads are over six months old now! They all got good grades at the six month checkup. Cooper is still the biggest, Ben still the smallest. Unfortunately, they all got colds from the doctors office. Cooper got it the worst, his cold developed into RSV, which is very serious. Our doctor nearly hospitalized him. We managed to get him to eat enough to keep the doctor happy, and he stayed home. Now, he's doing much better, he's almost completely recovered. All the babies have started eating cereal and vegetables. Before you say "That will help them sleep through the night!", let me stop you. It's had no effect on how long they sleep. Derek and Cooper still sleep four hours at a time, and Zach and Ben are about Six hours. Everyone else is doing fine. Trevor is a typical three year old boy, and so is dad. Mom's got her hands full! Here's new (as of June 7th) weights: Cooper 14 lbs, Derek 12 lb 11 oz , Zach 12 lb 8 oz , Ben 12 lb 2 oz.

This was a hard week! All seven of us got sick! Bummer. We got a virus that caused a sore throat, runny nose, coughing blah blah... Derek and Cooper got Bronchitis, again. Cooper is feeling better, but Derek has started Antibiotics and Steroids to help him breathe. Anyway, I think everyone is doing better. Before we all got sick, things were going very well! Zach and Ben are sleeping really well at night. Cooper and Derek are getting better, but still no longer than five hours at a time (which isn't that bad). Everyone has gained a pound or more over the last month, that's good. Check out the new pictures on the picture page!

A lot has happened in the
last month! Everyone has teeth now, they all have at least two!
They're also all sitting up. They aren't quite crawling yet, but they're
close. We went to their nine month checkup this morning, everyone is
healthy. We learned that they're all growing, and Cooper has a huge
head. Weights: Ben 14 lb 10 oz, Zach 14lbs 15 oz, Cooper 16 lb 6 oz, Derek
14 lbs 12 oz.
Trevor is in Preschool now. He goes twice a week, and loves
it.

I can't remember how much they weigh right now, but they're getting heavy. Everyone is healthy, and sleeping relatively well. Trevor is loving preschool, and is an all around good kid. The babies are all sitting up, playing well, eating well, not quite crawling yet though. Many many teeth, Cooper has eight, Derek three, Zach and Ben have something in between. I've started traveling again for work, but April handles is pretty well while I'm gone. That's it for now! Don't worry about us, we're doing well and very happy!

We're past 1 year!! We had a good birthday party last week. There's some pictures from the party on the photo page. Everyone is healthy! Although Mom and Dad are slowly going insane. But that's what happens whenever you have five kids. We're getting ready for Christmas, and having fun. We've slowly made it back to a normal home life, at least as normal as it's going to get. I took trip to China after Thanksgiving, and April managed pretty well while I was gone. China is crowded. Anyway, have a look at the new pics, and don't hesitate to send us an e-mail langenbahn@yahoo.com

Well, we made it through Christmas, and New Years, and now it's Trevor's Birthday (actually, it's tomorrow). We're doing pretty well. The kids were all sick last week, just a cold. They're feeling better now though. Maybe now, April and I can get some sleep. Nothing major to report, other than the quads are all still growing. I think Cooper's about 20 lbs., Ben is about 18 lbs., and the other two are somewhere in between. Thanks to everyone who sent presents and cards! The kids had a great Christmas.

Man, these updates are hard. I mean, I've got to type like a whole paragraph. You people are demanding. Not to mention that I don't think anyone reads these updates anymore. Well, here's the scoop: Everyone has been sick for the last two months! Just one cold after another. Finally, we are all starting to get better, except Derek and Cooper both have sinus infections. But they're on antibiotics, and they'll be feeling better soon. Trevor is still four, and he acts like it. He loves preschool, and he's a little spoiled. But he's a good kid, and deserves to be spoiled. The quads are almost walking. Actually, Ben and Zach are walking, and Cooper and Derek aren't far behind. Ben is also fond of his new word, "Uh-Oh". Every time he says it, he's about to do something bad. Now that the weather is getting warmer, we're spending more time outside. We played on the swing set for two hours yesterday! They love going outside (but don't we all?). All in all, we're doing very well. We're all happy, but tired. The boys are energetic, happy and growing. They're all getting closer to 20 pounds, and Cooper is still bigger than the rest. However, Ben is the strongest, even though he's the littlest. Later....

Happy Fathers Day! Man, these boys are getting big fast. All four can walk now, although Derek takes only one or two steps at a time. There all healthy and happy. Nothing much to report, really, that's good news! We've been doing well enough that we are catching up on the things we neglected over the last two years. For example, we finally finished landscaping the backyard! We started the project just before April got pregnant, and finished it this month. It's nice to have a good backyard that the kids can roam freely in. That's it for now...

Big, happy, and troublemakers. But enough about April and Matt.... The boys are all doing extremely well!!! Trevor is in preschool four days a week, and he loves it. It's good for him to be around kids his own age. The quads are all healthy and happy. They're growing at a good rate, and are starting to catch up to normal size. They're all running and climbing, playing with each other, and talking a ton! Ben was the first to use a whole sentence! They're getting big fast! We couldn't be doing better. Everything is going very well. I hope they can stay this healthy all winter.

Christmas and the Quad's birthday have passed. The last month has been quite hectic, but also very fun. Matt spent a week in Japan for business, the Quad's are now two years old, and Santa was very very good to us! We are very fortunate to have such a great group of friends that still help us out. Without the support of friends and family, we would surely have had much more difficulty. Trevor will be five years old next month, the other four boys made it two years without major incident, and mom and dad are both still alive, and still able to talk normally! Take a look at the new pictures, and imagine monkey sounds in the background (that's what our house sounds like). Merry Christmas!!!

Everything is going very, very well. The weather has turned warm, so we're spending most of the time outside in the yard. All five boys like being outside. Plus, it makes them tired so they eat and sleep better. Thank you summertime! Today, we took all five boys to church, and made it through the entire session for the first time! We're trying to get out more and do the things we did three years ago, so this is a positive development. We've also joined the local YMCA. They have a great play / daycare area. We can just drop the kids off and go workout for a while. The membership is well worth the money just for the daycare! I really like times like this, everyone is healthy, we're very happy (but tired), and we're well under control. Hope it lasts for a while!

Really not much new. Everyone is doing fine. Trevor started Kindergarten, and he loves it. April bought a van, it's much easier to move the kids around now. My job is going great. We're just enjoying life!

Just new pictures!

Several web hosts later... I finally just signed up with godaddy.com. At least I can count on the page working now! We had a great summer. Lots of trips to the zoo, the park, swimming, and just playing. The boys have grown a lot! They're all potty trained and talking up a storm. Trevor is in school now in the first grade. April and I still collapse every night, but that's ok. Let me know what you want to see on the site.
December 1st 2007
The Quads will be 4 next weekend! There really growing up fast now. We've kept them in their toddler beds too long, so on their birthday they are getting new beds. That means that we'll have to split them into two separate bedrooms too. Up to now, they've all been in one room! I don't think it will be too traumatic though, we've been talking about with them for a while and they are excited. Trevor is in a YMCA basketball league. He really likes it. It's good to get him out with bigger kids now and then. Nothing much changes with April and I. We just try to keep up. Hope you like the new pictures.
March 2nd 2008
The boys are all doing great!! New pictures of our Aquarium visit are up. The biggest news over the last few months is that I quit my job at Agilent, and I've taken a new job at a company called RT Logic. I just plain got tired of the big company bureaucracy, and needed something different. RT Logic is a provider of Satellite communication equipment. It's a small company with about 135 employees. I'm really having fun and learning a lot. Trevor is doing very well in first grade. He can read better than I can. April is already gearing up to have her own pre-school in the fall.

No updates for 7 months? What kind of crappy website is this anyway? (uh, the free kind where the webmaster is lazy). Things are good! Ben almost lost a tooth (when he wasn't supposed to) thanks to Coopers head, but it all worked out ok. Matt's new job is still good. April is overworked and underpaid. All five boys love summertime. Nothing really interesting to report other than we're all healthy and happy!!!
October 11th, 2008
Everyone is doing well. Trevor is enjoying 2nd grade, and April is doing home pre-school with the quads. Next year, the quads will go to kindergarten. April won't know what to do with themselves. We took a long car ride up to Cripple Creek last week to look at the changing aspen trees. They were beautiful! And we didn't take even one picture of them... Gives us an excuse to go back next year.

My family RULES!!! Kids are all still doing well. The quads just turned five last week. We had a birthday party at our house for them. Man, those kids have a lot of toys. April and Matt are both doing well, as is Trevor. Trevor has been playing Y-Basketball and is getting pretty good. The next season starts in January. Matt works a lot, and April runs the whole house, and makes sure no one starves to death (if it were all up to Matt, the kids would have starved a long time ago). Bye ;)
