Matt's EV Project
Latest status:
I've been driving this EV conversion for two years straight. It's my main car for commuting to work. I've put a little over 5,000 miles on the car since the conversion. The odometer reads "159,614" today. I just put brand new Trojan T1275 batteries in. I run 12 batteries in series for 144V total. This gives the car great acceleration. The range is over 30 miles on a good day, but I rarely drive it that far without charging.
I'm selling the car this summer. With five kids and a two car garage, it doesn't make sense to keep a smaller car anymore.
